July 2021

We, the Presidents of Together4Bristol / Churches Together in Greater Bristol, unite in recognising the climate emergency, and we
call on all churches to take further steps to care for God’s precious creation.

We recognise that the climate crisis is impacting our sisters and brothers around the world, and that the younger generation will bear the brunt of our changing climate. We stand in solidarity with them, and in determination that, together with our partners across the city, we can take strong action to decarbonise and build a brighter, greener future.

 Yours In Christ:-

Bishop Renford Brown: Chair, Bristol Black Churches Council

Revd Nigel Coles: Senior Regional Minister, West of England Baptist Network

The Rt Revd Vivienne Faull: Bishop of Bristol, Diocese of Bristol

Majors Ian and Jean Harris: Divisional Commander, Severn and Somerset Division, Salvation Army

Revd Dr Jonathan Pye: Chair, Bristol Methodist District

The Rt Revd Declan Lang, Bishop of Clifton, Clifton Diocese
